The River Seine

Once again, a picture taken a few minutes away from my place. Along the river Seine on a sunny Sunday. It looks like the trees want to protect the barges comfortably installed at their side.

The Indian Chestnut Tree

Still coming from the park nearby, a really huge Indian chestnut tree, kind of the king of the place, but kinda lonely too... No cage like the peacock, but an astonishing sensation of loneliness, when he's the only one around to reach the skies.

But it is a well-known fact, that kings are often lonely in their majesty.

The Peacock

This park near my office is the source of many wonders. Of course, it is often full of people utterly unable to appreciate the beauty of these wonders. Kids run everywhere without taking time to have a look, grownups eat or talk about work, which is even worse. I come and look, I use the beauty to isolate myself from the rest of the world.

And, from time to time, I take a picture. Like the picture above, of a peacock I disturbed while he was washing itself. Unlike the peacocks in the Jardins de Bagatelle, this one is in captivity, and I couldn't help but wonder if he had enough space in his really few square feet of a cage...

On catalog?

Well I still have a few of my own shoots to post, but I thought I'd make an exception tonight: no flowers, no trees, just a very nice piece of meat (sorry, only pun I could come up with tonight, the anxiety pills are kicking in, I will do better next time)! I found him on Cisoto Fotos, which is one of my favorite websites, for obvious reasons! Enjoy!

P.S.: Many more pictures of the dude above if you go visit the link I just gave you :-)

A path of light in the skies

Walking in the park near my work, I couldn't help but notice the contrast between the shadowy alleys, almost as dark as my thoughts these days, and the sunny sky of Paris, creating a path of light between the top of the trees in the park.

The Dark Tower of La Defense

Shopping afternoon at La Defense. I couldn't help but notice there was a dark tower behind a little green forrest. Or are the trees in front of the dark tower?

Orange Tea

This sort of illustrates how far I'm ready to go for a nice cup of tea. I wish that was my only addiction...

Concert in paradise

Yesterday, I went to the Jardins de Bagatelle which are just the other side of the river Seine from my place. There was a piano concert, with Liszt and Chopin played beautifully by Olivier Gardon, a french pianist. The picture above was taken in the Rose Garden which is just in front of the small Orange Tree House where the concert was taking place. My hell is a paradise.

In the park

There are but a few, who can see the infinite value of a single, perfect red rose.

Disneyland

I went to Disneyland last Friday with an "old" friend of mine. This is me in the least ugly picture my friend took.

My nights in Paris - part 1

Just having a walk in Paris yesterday, walked by the Centre Pompidou in a state of tiredness-delirium that made everything look pretty weird. Or is it just weird as it is ?
